Digital Business and Information Technology

The Bachelor of Digital Business and Bachelor of Information Technology is a double degree that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of digital business and information technology. Entry Requirements

To be considered for entry into this course, students must satisfy the following requirements:


Academic Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Age: At the time of enrolment in a course at Monash University, students must be at least 17 years of age.
  • Secondary Education: Students must have completed a minimum of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) and achieve the required academic entry score.
  • Post-Secondary Qualifications: International entry requirements for post-secondary qualifications can be located in the study credit and admissions eligibility search.

English Entry Requirements

  • English Subject: Students can meet English entry requirements if they have completed an English subject in their prior secondary studies that is equivalent to an Australian Year 12 level.
  • Language of Instruction: Students can meet English entry requirements if they have completed half a year of full-time study at Australian VET Diploma (AQF level 5) or higher at an institution where English is the language of instruction.
  • English Tests: Monash accepts the following English tests where the entry scores for this course are as follows:
    • IELTS (Academic): 6.5
    • TOEFL iBT: 79
    • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 58
    • C1 Advanced (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English): 176
    • C2 Proficiency (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English): 176

Prerequisite Subject Requirements

  • English: Students must have completed an English subject in their prior secondary studies that is equivalent to an Australian Year 12 level.
  • Maths: Students must have completed a maths subject in their prior secondary studies that is equivalent to an Australian Year 12 level.

Course Structure

The Bachelor of Digital Business and Bachelor of Information Technology is a comprehensive course structured in three equal parts.


Digital Business

  • Part A. Specialist Discipline Knowledge: These units will develop students' capacity as a critical, creative, and ethical professional.
  • Part B. Additional Discipline Knowledge: These additional units will allow students to delve deeper into areas of interest.

Information Technology

  • Part A. Information Technology Specified Study: This will provide students with foundation skills and knowledge for their IT education.
  • Part B. Information Technology Listed Major: This will provide students with a focused program of study that will develop their expertise in one area of information technology.

Fees

Fees are subject to change annually. The international fee for this course is A$53,200 per 48 credit points, which represents a standard full-time course load for a year.


Enrolment Obligations

International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than one third (33%) of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students must enrol in at least one unit that is not by distance and/or online in each compulsory study period unless the student is completing the last unit of their course.
