Program Overview
Psychology and Commerce
The Bachelor of Psychology component of your double degree is designed for those who wish to study psychology and understand the complexities of human behaviour and the biological, psychological and social factors that contribute to individual group and community processes. You will learn about how psychological, social and personality factors influence thinking and behaviour as well as how interventions can be applied to help people lead more satisfying and meaningful lives. This course is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Your studies will enable you to pursue a career in a diverse range of fields including research, mental health and welfare, human resources, community services and counselling, education and health services. You could also undertake further steps to qualify to practice as a professional psychologist or pursue a career in counselling, welfare, social work, human resources, marketing or research.
The Bachelor of Commerce component is designed to provide you with the analytical, conceptual and quantitative skills for a wide range of careers in decision making, leadership and management, policy development, and problem solving in the professions, in addition to the corporate and public sectors. Graduates of this course are highly valued for their training in quantitative skills and techniques which are well suited for employment in both Australia and overseas.

Minimum Age Requirements
At the time of enrolment in a course at Monash University, you must be at least 17 years of age.
Academic Entry Requirements
All Monash undergraduate courses require you to have successfully completed a minimum of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) and achieve the required academic entry score. Most Monash faculties generally use your most recent studies for admission however other guidelines may apply where your prior qualification may be considered.

How to Calculate Your Entry Score
- GCE A Levels: Total score by achieving either a maximum of the best 3 A Level subjects completed within two years or a minimum of the best 2 A Level subjects completed within two years plus the best 2 AS Level subjects.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme: Total points as awarded on the official final IB Diploma Programme Results issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
- Advanced Placement: Total of the best 2 Advanced Placement examinations as awarded on the Student Score Report issued by the College Board.
- ACT: The final average calculated by adding the best four section scores achieved in all ACT test attempted for the Math, Science, English and Reading sections, then dividing the total by four and rounding to the nearest whole number.
- SAT - Total score out of 1600: Total score by adding the best section scores achieved in ‘Evidence Based Reading and Writing’ and ‘Math’.
- Pearson International Advanced Levels: Total score by achieving either a maximum of the best 3 International A Level subjects completed within two years or a minimum of the best 2 International A Level subjects completed within two years plus the best 2 International AS Level subjects.
- All India Senior School Certificate: Overall average of the best four academic subjects (excluding Monash University approved non-academic subjects) and results indicated as ‘pass’.
- Indian School Certificate Examination: Overall average of the best four academic subjects (excluding Monash University approved non-academic subjects) and results indicated as ‘pass certificate awarded’.
- SMA 3 – 100% scale (60% pass): Overall average of all Semester 1 and Semester 2 Grade 12 knowledge and skills results.
- STPM: Total of the best three subjects, excluding Pengajian Am (General Studies).
- UEC: Overall average of the best five subjects awarded on the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Senior Middle Level.
- High School Diploma (Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Trung Học Phổ Thông): Overall average of all Grade 12 subjects.
- Higher School Certificate and General Certificate of Education Advanced Levels: Total score by achieving either a maximum of the best 3 H2 Level subjects completed in one sitting or a minimum of the best 2 H2 Level subjects completed within two years plus the best 2 H1 Level subjects.
- Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level): Total score of a maximum of the best 3 A Level subjects taken in one examination sitting.

Fees
Fees are subject to change annually.
International Fee
Fees are per 48 credit points which represents a standard full-time course load for a year. The fees for 2025 are: $53,200
Other Fees
The Student Services and Amenities Fee applies to some students each calendar year.
Scholarships
We offer over 360 types of scholarships, valued at up to $280,000. Some scholarships offer one-off payments while others continue for the length of your course.
Enrolment Obligations
International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than one third (33%) of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students must enrol in at least one unit that is not by distance and/or online in each compulsory study period unless the student is completing the last unit of their course.
