Introduction to the Graduate Certificate of Managerial Analytics
The Graduate Certificate of Managerial Analytics is a first-of-its-kind course that teaches students how to build their influence and make decisions in the age of AI and big data. This course is designed for managers seeking to enhance their strategic decision-making skills, broadening their expertise and advancing their career, regardless of their technical background.

To be awarded the Graduate Certificate of Managerial Analytics, students must complete four units in total.
Core Units
- Decision making for managers: This unit introduces a data analytics cycle to empower managers in using data to generate insights and execute decisions. Students will learn how fallacies in data can lead to the formulation of incorrect conclusions and potentially suboptimal decisions.
- Data analytics and insights generation: This unit will introduce students to the process of undertaking data transformation and analysis for the purpose of producing insights from the data to address real-world problems. Students will understand from the analyst's perspective and their toolkit on how to use modern tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to run exploratory data analysis and statistical analyses.
- Data and analytics in organisations and society: This unit will include examples from marketing, finance, economics, and related disciplines to give students a wide range of experience.
- Reporting for strategy and change: This unit will explore the stakeholder engagement and leadership skills necessary to drive adoption and usage of self-service reporting platforms. The unit will also introduce modern reporting and data management platforms used for implementing reporting solutions.

- An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must meet the English language requirements.
- Minimum entrance requirements to apply for admission to Monash University Australia.
Fees
- The estimated cost is $4637.50 per unit.
- Students may be eligible to receive a FEE-HELP loan to cover part or all of their tuition.
