The Information Technology and Arts program is a double degree that combines technical expertise with societal and cultural understanding. Program Structure

- Games and immersive media (IT) with communications and media studies (Arts) to deliver holistic gaming experiences.
- Software development (IT) with psychology (Arts) to create intuitive software.
Accreditation
The Bachelor of Information Technology degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), making graduates eligible for membership and opening doors to networking and professional development opportunities.
Course Details
- Location: On-campus at Clayton.
- Duration: 4 years (full-time).

Entry Requirements
To be considered for entry into this course, applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements:
- Minimum Age: At least 17 years of age at the time of enrolment.
- Academic Entry Requirements: Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) and achievement of the required academic entry score.
- International Students: Specific entry requirements apply, including English language proficiency and academic qualifications.
International Qualification Entry Requirements
- GCE A Levels: Total score by achieving either a maximum of the best 3 A Level subjects or a minimum of the best 2 A Level subjects plus the best 2 AS Level subjects.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme: Total points as awarded on the official final IB Diploma Programme Results.
- Advanced Placement: Total of the best 2 Advanced Placement examinations.
- ACT: Final average calculated by adding the best four section scores.
- SAT: Total score out of 1600 by adding the best section scores in ‘Evidence Based Reading and Writing’ and ‘Math’.
- Pearson International Advanced Levels: Total score by achieving either a maximum of the best 3 International A Level subjects or a minimum of the best 2 International A Level subjects plus the best 2 International AS Level subjects.
- Other Qualifications: Specific requirements apply for qualifications such as the All India Senior School Certificate, Indian School Certificate Examination, SMA 3, STPM, UEC, High School Diploma, and others.
English Entry Requirements
All Monash undergraduate courses require applicants to satisfy English entry requirements in one of the following ways:
- English Subject: Completion of an English subject in prior secondary studies equivalent to an Australian Year 12 level.
- Language of Instruction: Completion of half a year of full-time study at an Australian VET Diploma (AQF level 5) or higher where English is the language of instruction.
- English Tests: Acceptable English tests include IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Pearson Test of English, and others, with specific entry scores for this course.
Prerequisite Subject Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following prerequisite subject requirements:
- English: VCE Score Units 3 and 4 or English (EAL) or English (Other) with specific scores.
- Maths: VCE Score Unit 1 and 2 or Two units in General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics.
- IB Diploma Programme: Standard Level or Higher Level in specific subjects.
