Entry Requirements
To be considered for entry to this course, you must satisfy the following entrance requirements:
Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
- Qualifications: Equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2)
- Prerequisite subjects: You must meet the additional course prerequisite subjects which are equivalent to Australian Year 11 (part 1) or Australian Year 12 (part 2)
- Part 1: One of Science
- Part 2: One of Science or Mathematics

- Minimum age requirements:
- Part 1: 16 years
- Part 2: 16 years 6 months
- English requirements:
- Diploma Part 1: IELTS: 5.5 overall (no band lower than 5.0) | TOEFL iBT Paper Edition: score of 46 overall with minimum scores: Writing 14, Speaking 14, Listening 4 and Reading 4 | Equivalent approved English test
- Diploma Part 2: IELTS: 6.0 overall (Writing not less than 6.0) | TOEFL iBT Paper Edition: score of 60 overall with minimum scores: Writing 18, Speaking 16, Listening 7, Reading 8 | Equivalent approved English test
Course Details
Part 2 consists of two trimesters over eight months. You will complete six units from science and two from education. You will also complete 10 days of work placement as part of the course.
Classes will help you develop your critical thinking skills and university research techniques. These skills will prepare you for success at Monash University.
