Wound Care - M6035

Overview

The Master of Wound Care is designed for health professionals who would like to advance their knowledge and skills in complex wound care management. The course offers you the opportunity to learn how to formulate, implement and evaluate wound management plans in clinical practice. You will also be able to hone your skills in leadership, professional communication, reflective practice and innovation in wound care to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.

  • Duration: Depending on prior qualifications, this course can be completed in 1-5 years (part time)
  • Start date: Semester one (February), Semester two (July)

Entry Requirements

This course is not available to international students who are holders of an Australian student visa, for study onshore in Australia. However, holders of some other categories of Australian visas living in Australia, and students studying off-campus by distance learning (where this option is available) and living outside of Australia, may be eligible for this course.


  • Minimum Entry Requirements (International students):
    • Qualifications: Entry level 1: 72 points to complete - Duration 3 to 5 years part-time: An Australian bachelor degree in pharmacy, podiatry, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy or equivalent.
      • At least two years relevant clinical experience.
      • Professional registration.
    • English entry requirements: Level D
      • IELTS (Academic): 7.0 Overall score, with minimum band scores: Listening 7.0, Reading 7.0, Writing 7.0 and Speaking 7.0
      • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 65 Overall score, with minimum scores: Listening 65, Reading 65, Speaking 65 and Writing 65
      • TOEFL Internet-based test: 98 Overall score, with minimum scores: Reading 24, Listening 24, Speaking 23 and Writing 27
    • University entrance requirements: Minimum entrance requirements for admission to Monash University Australia.

Master's Entry Points

Depending on prior qualifications, you may receive entry level credit (a form of block credit) which determines your point of entry to the course:


  • If you are admitted at Entry level 1, you will complete 72 credit points, comprising Parts A, B, and C.
  • If you are admitted at Entry level 2, you will complete 48 credit points, comprising Parts B and C.
  • If you are admitted at Entry level 3, you will complete 24 credit points, comprising Part C

Fees

Fees are subject to change annually.


  • Full fee: The total fees for 2025 for this part-time course are: A$21,500
