The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program is designed to produce professional and forward-thinking graduates through a solid education in electronics, signal processing, digital systems, and electromagnetics, as well as a broad range of electives in communication engineering and power systems.
Program Overview
The program is designed to ensure excellence in multiple technical areas within the broad field of electrical engineering, while emphasizing the role of general education, ethical and social responsibility, in addition to life-long learning in the personal and professional growth of future electrical engineers.
Program Details
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) degree is a four-year program consisting of 137 hours of required credit. Core subjects are split into Mathematics/Natural Sciences, Arts and Sciences, and Electrical Engineering. There are also 12-15 credit hours of computer engineering electives, where students can choose from courses including Optical Fiber Communications, Energy Engineering, Electric Drives, Digital Integrated Circuit Design, Wireless Communications and Antenna Theory.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing their studies, graduates will be able to:
- Identify, formulate, and solve complex electrical engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
- Apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
- Communicate effectively with a range of audiences, through oral, written, graphic, and electronic channels.
- Make informed engineering decisions, guided by ethical and professional responsibility, and considering the global impact of engineering solutions on the economy, environment, and society.
- Function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
- Develop and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

Admissions Entry
All applying students must have:
- A high school/secondary school certificate or equivalent from an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education in the U.A.E. or by the relevant national or regional institutional accrediting body.
- International TOEFL or Academic IELTS or the equivalent score on another internationally-recognized English exam.
