Program Overview

The BA (Hons) Business and Management program is designed to equip students with the tools and techniques necessary to become confident future leaders. The program focuses on the fundamentals of business, as well as the skills required to manage others, navigate change, and achieve business success.


Program Structure

The program is divided into three years, with each year comprising three terms of study. The program includes a range of modules, including Subject Core, Special Electives, and Common Modules.


Year 1

In Year 1, students will study the following Subject Core modules:


  • Self Leadership and Leading Others: This module explores the key capabilities required for leading others and discovering one's uniqueness, dreams, beliefs, values, character strengths, personality, and more.
  • Learning Perspectives: This module encourages students to become collaborative, critical, and reflective learners, examining core questions about how and why we learn.
  • Organisational Culture and Reputation: This module helps students understand the key characteristics, types of management, and intertwined nature of organisational culture and reputation.
  • Money, Finance and Decisions: This module equips students with the knowledge and skills to make effective use of key budgeting, financial reporting, mathematical, and statistical techniques applicable to business, finance, and management.
  • Markets and Legal Frameworks: This module develops students' understanding of the legal implications and economic reasoning that underpin entrepreneurial and business activity.
  • Exploring Industry and Entrepreneurship: This module provides an introduction to the changes being experienced in the world of work and the scope of real-world professional activities in relation to the course.

Year 2

In Year 2, students will study the following Subject Core modules:


  • Managing Performance and Innovation: This module teaches students how to define and manage performance using a range of measures, exploring decision-making and data-driven organisations.
  • Sustainable Operations: This module emphasizes the core theme of sustainability, addressing the economic, social, and environmental aspects of operations over time.
  • Managing Digital Disruption and Transformation: This module explores new and emerging disruptive technologies and the risks posed by the increasing presence of artificial intelligence.
  • Entrepreneurial Challenge: This module develops entrepreneurial thinking, allowing students to explore enterprise opportunities and create an entrepreneurial plan.
  • Placement: This module gives students the opportunity to experience industry and entrepreneurship in an external organisation.
  • Industry Challenge: This module provides students with a real-world or live project, chosen from a menu of industry scenarios, to develop a critical appreciation of how an organisation operates and evolves.

Year 3

In Year 3, students will study the following Subject Core modules:


  • Leadership in Context: This module focuses on experiencing the complexity of leadership in diverse settings, exploring various models and perspectives on the theory and practice of leadership.
  • Disruptive Strategies and Models: This module explores how organisations can harness technologies to disrupt and create new business models, developing the confidence to think strategically and identify new opportunities.
  • Major Project I and II: These modules form a substantial piece of work, drawing on discipline-specific and interdisciplinary learning, as well as learning about industry and entrepreneurship.

Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, students must meet one of the following qualifications:


  • Three GCE A-levels at grade A-C
  • 24 points in the International Baccalaureate
  • US High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.5 PLUS one of the following:
    • Three AP tests with an average grade of 3 (or two, with an average grade of 4)
    • SAT score of 1100 (550+ in both subjects)
    • ACT with a composite score of 26 (20 in each section)
    • Dual Enrolment and College credits (1st year) – 30, with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Equivalent qualifications as deemed acceptable by the University and set out in the Admissions Guide and UK ENIC.

English Language Requirements

Minimum English proficiency requirement through one of the following qualifications (or equivalent):


  • GCSE: English language, C (4)
  • IB SL or HL: English A, 4
  • IB HL: English B, 4
  • US HSD (studied in a majority English-speaking country): Grade 11 and above, English, C
  • IELTS: Academic, 6.0 overall and 5.5 in each component

Tuition Fees

  • September 2025 or January 2026 start: £26,000 per year, fixed for the duration of the course
  • September 2026 or January 2027 start: £27,750 per year, fixed for the duration of the course
  • Non-refundable advance deposit:
    • September 2025 or January 2026 start: UK students, £1,000; Non-UK students, £4,000
    • September 2026 or January 2027 start: UK students, £1,500; Non-UK students, £5,000
