Sport is a cultural phenomenon that is growing in influence, creating positive change, new industry sectors, and wider commercial opportunities. This course is designed for students who want to study business while exploring the commercial aspects of sport.
Structure
The program consists of three years of study, with a range of modules that provide a comprehensive understanding of business and sports management.
Year 1
Subject Core
- Organisational Culture and Reputation: This module helps students understand the key characteristics, types of management, and intertwined nature of organisational culture and reputation.
- Money, Finance and Decisions: This module equips students with the knowledge and skills to make effective budgeting, financial reporting, mathematical, and statistical decisions applicable to business, finance, and management.
- Markets and Legal Frameworks: This module develops students' understanding of the legal implications and economic reasoning that underpins entrepreneurial and business activity.
- Sports Marketing, Branding and Sponsorship: This module explores how effective marketing, branding, and sponsorship activities contribute towards generating profit, awareness, participation, engagement, purpose, collaborations, and future career opportunities for athletes.
- Exploring Industry and Entrepreneurship: This module provides an introduction to the changes being experienced in the world of work and the scope of real-world professional activities in relation to the course.
- Learning Perspectives: This module encourages students to become collaborative, critical, and reflective learners, examining core questions about how and why we learn the way we do.
Common Modules
- London Perspectives: This interdisciplinary module introduces students to the relationships between a range of subject areas and London.
- Global Perspectives (Spring Term): This module completes a number of practical group tasks inspired by contemporary intercultural, political, and social issues.
- Language Modules: Students can choose from a range of language modules, including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish.
Year 2

- Sustainable Operations: This module emphasizes the core theme of sustainability, addressing the economic, social, and environmental aspects of operations over time, as well as the role of advancing technology.
- Sport, Business and Social Change: This module explores how sport makes a social impact, utilizing various concepts informed by sociological, cultural, political, and media insights.
- Sports, Business and Performance: This module explores topics shared across sports and business management, such as data analytics, executive and leadership styles, psychology, and motivation.
- Entrepreneurial Challenge: This module develops entrepreneurial thinking about how to grow one's own or others' entrepreneurial ideas.
- Placement: This module gives students the opportunity to experience industry and entrepreneurship in an external organisation.
- Industry Challenge: This module provides an immersive experience, giving students insight into the culture, practices, and commercial contexts of an industry, field, or sector.

Year 3
Subject Core
- Disruptive Strategies and Models: This module explores how organisations can harness new technologies to disrupt their strategy and create new business models.
- Performance and Decisions in Sport: This module explores the decision-making process in sports businesses, giving students the tools to manage commercial challenges.
- Major Project l: The Major Project is the culmination of students' studies, drawing on discipline-specific and interdisciplinary learning, as well as learning about industry and entrepreneurship.
- Major Project II: This module provides students with the opportunity to realise and complete their work, applying discipline-specific and interdisciplinary learning, as well as learning around industry and/or entrepreneurship.

Fees
- Tuition fee: £26,000 per year (fixed for the duration of the course)
- Non-refundable advance deposit: £1,000 (UK students), £4,000 (non-UK students)
English Language Requirements
Minimum English proficiency requirement through one of the following qualifications (or equivalent):
- GCSE: English language, C (4)
- IB SL or HL: English A, 4
- IB HL: English B, 4
- US HSD (studied in a majority English-speaking country): Grade 11 and above, English, C
- IELTS: Academic, 6.0 overall and 5.5 in each component

Academic Requirements
- One of the following qualifications:
- Three GCE A-levels at grade A-C
- 24 points in the International Baccalaureate
- US High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.5 PLUS one of the following:
- Three AP tests with an average grade of 3 (or two, with an average grade of 4)
- SAT score of 1100 (550+ in both subjects)
- ACT with a composite score of 26 (20 in each section)
- Dual Enrolment and College credits (1st year) – 30, with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Equivalent qualifications as deemed acceptable by the University and set out in the Admissions Guide and UK ENIC.
