Environmental Horticulture - Midpoint, Certificate of Completion
The Environmental Horticulture Midpoint certificate provides students with a strong foundational knowledge of horticulture skills required in common entry-level positions in the industry. The program covers botany, plant propagation, integrated pest management techniques, soil science, pruning, plant identification, and tools, introducing these concepts in the classroom and practicing them in a real-world setting.
Midpoint certificate graduates will:
- have the knowledge to complete most landscape maintenance duties that horticulture industry employers require
- understand plant growth requirements specific to intensive plant production and how to manage them
- problem solve pest and disease issues common to nursery plants
