MSc Dietetics (Pre-registration)

Through this two-year course, students will develop the skills and knowledge to work as a dietitian, delivering therapeutic nutrition in both public and private sector organisations. The course encompasses 28 weeks of placement over two years, providing students with practical experience and exposure to different healthcare settings.

Accreditations, Awards, and Endorsements

The MSc (Pre-Registration) Dietetics course has been approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and has been accredited by the British Dietetic Association (BDA).


Entry Requirements

In line with British Dietetic Association requirements, students will normally be expected to have an honours degree in a relevant subject at 2:1 or above or equivalent, and evidence of academic study in the five years prior to application. Relevant subject areas include biological sciences, physiology, biochemistry, chemistry, and nutrition.


Fees and Funding

The tuition fees for the course are as follows:


  • UK and Channel Island students: £9,535 for the 2025/26 academic year (subject to Parliamentary approval).
  • EU and non-EU international students: £22,000 per year.
