Core Modules
- Work and Working Lives – explores the ways in which long-term and short-term trends in the internal and external environments impact upon work and working lives.
- Managing People for Performance – provides an overview of HRM theory and practice using the employee life cycle as a framework.
- Managing Employment Relationships – explores the regulation of employment relationships in an international context.
- Employment Law – examines the legal framework which governs employment relationships within the UK.
- Reward – investigates the strategic and operational approaches to and challenges of rewarding people in a fair and equitable way.
- HR Analytics – critically evaluates the sources and types of people data available and investigates how data can be used to gain insights into key HR issues.
- Diversity and Inclusion – examines the concepts of diversity and inclusion and discusses theories which explain patterns of inequalities in the UK labour market.
- Professional Practice in HRM – explores what it means to be professional in HR including the role of the CIPD in promoting professional practice.
- HRM Project – enables students to apply their research skills to a pertinent, contemporary real life HRM issue.
Study and Assessment
- Study – 25% lectures, seminars or similar; 0% placement; 75% independent study.

Entry Requirements
- A UK honours degree – at least a 2:2 – or the international equivalent.
- Overseas applicants will require IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in any category, or an equivalent accepted English qualification.

- Tuition Fees:
- UK and Channel Island students: £11,500 per year (MSc), £7,667 per year (PG Dip).
- EU and non-EU international students: £22,500 per year (MSc), £15,000 per year (PG Dip).

- Other Costs: £400 (estimated costs for books, printing, and laptop).
