Overview

This degree explores how businesses grow and compete in the global economy, whether they’re multinational giants or ambitious start-ups. You’ll develop a strong understanding of how to trade and invest internationally, while learning how to manage the risks and responsibilities that come with operating across borders.

Course Information

Our International Business Management course offers a global perspective designed to prepare you for a successful career in today’s interconnected and fast-paced world of business.

• Year 1: You will study three 30 credit modules and two 15 credit modules this year.
  • Core modules:
    • Principles of International Marketing
    • Multinational Corporations and Sustainability
    • Global Management of People and Operations
    • Understanding the Global Economy
    • Digital Literacy and Academic Competency
• Year 2: You will study three 30 credit modules and two 15 credit modules this year. Four of these modules are core, and one is optional.
  • Core modules:
    • International Trade and Firm Internationalisation
    • International Business Research and Analysis
    • Building Your Professional Profile
    • International Finance
• Year 3: In your final year you will study four 15 credit modules and one 30 credit unit (Business Project Research / Consultancy).
  • Core modules:
    • International Business Strategy
    • Graduate Futures: Leadership and Success
    • Business in Emerging Markets

Entry Requirements

• Typical offer: 104-112 UCAS tariff points
• IELTS score: 6.0 overall with no individual element below 5.5
• UK students:
  • Level 3 qualifications: 104-112 UCAS tariff points
  • Level 2 qualifications: GCSE grade C/4 in English Language or Level 2 Functional Skills English pass and GCSE grade C/4 in Mathematics or Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics pass
• International students:
  • IB Diploma: Pass overall with a minimum overall score of 26 or minimum 104 UCAS Tariff points from three Higher Level subjects
  • IELTS: 6.0 overall with no individual element below 5.5
