MSc International Fashion Marketing

The MSc International Fashion Marketing is a postgraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the fashion industry. Course Overview

The program is aimed at students who want to gain experience in both the strategic and creative aspects of fashion marketing. Students will produce innovative marketing campaigns for fashion brands through a variety of different communications media, while supporting their strategic and creative process with fundamental theoretical knowledge. The program will also equip students with the essential knowledge and key skills needed to help evolve the fashion industry to become more environmentally sustainable, socially progressive, and ethically conscious.

Year 1

Core Modules

  • Marketing and Society: Fostering a critical appreciation for contemporary theory and practice within international fashion marketing, examining the strategic implications of associated business, design, and creative practice.
  • Brands and Consumer Culture: Exposing students to the concepts and theories of branding and the relationship between brands, consumers, and culture.
  • Fashion Enquiry: Identifying and defining individual research specialisms through exposure and debate around contemporary issues critical to the fashion industry.
  • Social Media Marketing: Responding to key technological developments in international social media marketing, examining the intensity of competition, societal disruption, and complex challenges.
  • Masters Project: Proposing, negotiating, and producing a substantial piece of original project work in an appropriate professional format.

Study and Assessment

  • Study: 25% lectures, seminars, or similar; 0% placement; 75% independent study.
  • Assessment: 100% coursework; 0% practical; 0% examination.

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of 2:2 Honours degree is required.
  • Equivalent EU/international qualifications are also accepted.
  • Overseas applicants will require IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in any category, or an equivalent accepted English qualification.

Fees and Funding

  • UK and Channel Island students: Full-time fee £10,250 per year.
  • EU and non-EU international students: Full-time fee £20,000 per year.
  • Fees may be subject to change.

  • Employed or in further study: 93.7% of UK-domiciled, full-time, postgraduate taught graduates are employed or in further study 15 months after graduation.
