Overview

The BA (Hons) Spanish (with a modern language) course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Spanish language and culture, as well as the opportunity to study a modern language. The course is tailored to meet the needs of students who wish to pursue a career in languages, international business, or related fields.

Course Information

• The course is a four-year full-time program, with a period of residence abroad in the third year.
• Students will study Spanish language and culture, as well as a modern language of their choice (French, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, or Modern Standard Arabic).
• The course includes a range of modules, such as Spanish Language and Hispanic Culture, Spanish Language and the Hispanic World, and Modern Language.
• Students will also have the opportunity to participate in internships and volunteering, and to develop practical skills for work, including communication skills, presentation skills, and digital literacy.

Entry Requirements

• Typical offer: 104-112 UCAS tariff points
• IELTS score: 6.0 overall with no component below 5.5
• UK students: Level 3 qualifications, such as A levels or BTEC National Extended Diploma
• International students: IB Diploma, IELTS score, and other country-specific entry requirements
