The BSc (Hons) Sports Business Management (Foundation Year) is designed to prepare students for studying the BSc (Hons) Sports Business Management degree. This foundation year provides the perfect environment to advance academic abilities before continuing on to the full degree course.
Course Overview
This course is part of the Department of People and Performance at Manchester Met. The foundation year gives students a unique insight into the events, hospitality, sport, and tourism industries and the role these sectors play in the health and wellbeing of society. Students will develop practical expertise in management, marketing, finance, strategy, and events delivery, including the legal frameworks, commercialization, leadership, enterprise, and governance of sport.

Entry Requirements
- Typical offer: 72-80 UCAS tariff points.
- IELTS score: 5.5 overall with no individual element below 5.5.
- UK students: 72-80 UCAS tariff points from Level 3 qualifications (e.g., A levels, Pearson BTEC National Extended Diploma).
- International students: IB Diploma with minimum 24 points overall or 72-80 UCAS Tariff points from Higher Level, and IELTS 5.5 overall with no individual element below 5.5.
