Overview

The Applied Artificial Intelligence MSc (Distance Learning) at the University of Huddersfield is designed for graduates of any discipline, offering a unique opportunity to learn both applied technical skills and strategic management. This conversion course prepares students for roles that manage data and oversee strategic change in organizations as they adopt AI.

Entry Requirements

• A BSc, BEng, or BA Honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent professional qualification in any subject.
• For applicants who received their degree more than 10 years ago, evidence is required to demonstrate current knowledge in the subject area, such as reference letters, training certificates, or significant relevant work experience.
• Other appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.
• If the first language is not English, students will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification, with a minimum of IELTS 6.0 overall and no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent, or a Duolingo English certificate with a score of 105 or above.

Teaching and Assessment

• A variety of assessment strategies will be used, including coursework, quizzes, presentations, and demonstrations, reflecting the course's emphasis on applying knowledge and skills.
• Written feedback is normally provided on all coursework submissions within three term-time weeks.

Technology and System Requirements

• Personal computer with minimum specifications (Intel Core i5 or AMD A10 or equivalent, 4GB of RAM, screen resolution of at least 1280x800px).
• Internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to allow video streaming (4Mps minimum).
• Microphone and webcam.
• Access to Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Office 365, which will be provided by the University.

Fees and Finance

Tuition Fees - Part-time

• The total fee for UK and international students on this course in 2025/26 will be £9,900.
• Tuition fees will cover the cost of study at the University.
