Program Overview
Overview
The Automotive Engineering MSc at the University of Huddersfield is designed to prepare students for a career in the UK automotive industry. The course aims to extend current knowledge towards the application of automotive science and the design of modern land vehicle sub-systems. It also develops social awareness and responsibilities of engineers in society, provides the opportunity to develop research competence, and applies high-level analytical software to the design and packaging of complex assemblies.

Entry Requirements
- An Honours degree (2:2 or above) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Systems, or a closely related science subject area or an equivalent professional qualification.
- If the first language is not English, a minimum English Language qualification of IELTS 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent.

Teaching and Assessment
The course will follow a uniform pattern of delivery, engaging students in a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, tutorials, laboratory practical sessions, and demonstrations. Assessment strategies include exams, in-class tests, reports on laboratory experiments, laboratory assignments, and projects.
Fees and Finance
Tuition Fees - Full-time
In 2025/26, the full-time tuition fee for UK postgraduate students on this course will be £9,900 (Band 3). Tuition fees for UK students will cover the cost of study at the University.
