Entry Requirements

The admissions process for the Chemical Engineering (Top-up) BEng(Hons) program is considered on a case-by-case basis, but typical entry requirements include:


  • Holding an HND or Diploma of Higher Education in Chemical Engineering with an overall average of at least 60%.
  • Having passed 240 credits of a Chemical Engineering degree, including at least 120 credits at Level 5 or the equivalent, with all modules passed with at least 40% and an overall average of at least 60%.
  • International entry will normally proceed through formal progression agreements with overseas partner institutions.
  • If the first language is not English, students must meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall and no element lower than 6.0.
