- Current registration with the relevant regulatory authority of your country to practice as a Pharmacist in any jurisdiction

Course Detail
The course includes the following modules:
- Applied Therapeutics: Focuses on the application of an integrated knowledge base to inform decision-making and problem-solving of issues regarding pharmaceutical care of individual patients.
- International Practice and Policy: Provides students with an in-depth understanding of international practice and policies underpinning the practice of pharmacy around the world.
- Formulation Design and Development: Aims to provide an in-depth appreciation of all the stages from new drug identification to bringing a drug to the market and beyond, with an emphasis on biotechnology-based products.
- Drug Design and Development: Introduces precision medicine including pharmacogenomics and explores the application of biomarkers to stratified or personalised medicine.
- Clinical Pharmacy Practice: Introduces students to the practice of clinical pharmacy, the role of the clinical pharmacist in society, and their role as a member of the healthcare team.
- Hospital Pharmacy Practice: Equips students with the skills needed to carry out the role of a clinical hospital pharmacist effectively.
- Professional Practice Placement: Provides an in-depth appreciation and hands-on experience of professional pharmacy practice in the UK.
Placements
- A compulsory 60-credit professional pharmacy practice placement in a hospital pharmacy over the summer term.
- The placement provides an in-depth appreciation and hands-on experience of clinical pharmacy practice in England under the supervision of professionally qualified staff.
Fees and Finance
- The course fees including work placement are £19,800 for the 24/25 academic year for students from all eligible nationalities.
- Tuition fees will cover the cost of your study at the University as well as charges for registration, placement tuition supervision, and examinations.
