Performance-Based Admissions (PBA) Route

For students who do not meet the traditional entry requirements, the Performance-Based Admissions (PBA) route offers an alternative pathway into the program. This involves completing two or three short courses, totaling 60 credits, with successful completion allowing entry onto the full BSc program. The credits from these short courses are considered as accreditation of prior learning (APL) and count towards the degree.


Entry Requirements

  • A Level: BCC, with one of the qualifications in a STEM subject (Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology).
  • UCAS: 104 tariff points from a combination of Level 3 qualifications, including one in a STEM subject.
  • BTEC: MMM in BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Applied Sciences, Computing, or Engineering.
  • International Baccalaureate: 104 UCAS tariff points, including one STEM subject.
  • English Language: IELTS 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent.

Course Detail

The 360-credit course is taught over 6 years part-time or 3 years full-time, with students dedicating approximately 10-16 hours of study per module per week. The course includes a variety of modules across three years, covering topics such as:
