Program Overview


Electronic and Communication Engineering BEng(Hons)

The Electronic and Communication Engineering BEng(Hons) program at the University of Huddersfield is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of electronic and communication engineering. The program covers a broad range of topics, including digital and analogue system integration, AM and FM detectors, and aerials and satellite communications.

The aim of the program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in this fast-paced sector, with careers in this industry including systems engineer, electronic design engineer, or metrology engineer.


Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must meet the entry requirements, which can be found on the University's website. The program is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and fully meets the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng), and partly meets the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Placements

The program offers an optional placement year, which provides students with the opportunity to gain industry experience and apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in a real-world setting. The Placement team will support students in finding suitable placement opportunities and provide guidance on preparing for the placement year.

The tuition fees for the program are £9,535 per year for full-time students. Students may be eligible for scholarships and bursaries, and the University offers a range of financial support options to help students fund their studies.
