Overview

The English BA(Hons) program at the University of Huddersfield offers students a comprehensive study of the English language and literature, covering a wide range of genres, periods, and styles. • Year 1: Critical Thinking, Introduction to English Language, Introduction to English Literature, and Introduction to Creative Writing
• Year 2: Work Experience Placement, History of English, The Gothic, and Researching the Humanities
• Year 3 (optional placement year) or Final year: Dissertation, Public Humanities, World Literature, and optional modules such as Extraordinary Gentlemen, Twentieth Century Drama, Twentieth Century Poetry, Child Language Acquisition, and Voices of the Holocaust

Fees and Finance

The maximum fees for UK-based students on undergraduate courses in 2025/26 will be £9,535 per year for full-time students and £1,589 per 20 credit module and £2,384 per 30 credit module per year for part-time students.
