Overview
Infection Prevention and Control underpins the prevention and reduction in transmission of infectious diseases such as COVID – 19. This course, aimed at health and social care practitioners, provides you with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the principles of infection prevention and control, clinical knowledge of applied microbiology, health care surveillance, outbreak and incident management.

Teaching and assessment
You will be taught through distance learning. Your studies will be supported by the University's virtual learning environment.

Feedback (usually written) is normally provided on all coursework submissions within three term time weeks, unless the submission was made towards the end of the session in which case feedback would be available on request after the formal publication of results.
