Information Technology BSc(Hons)

The Information Technology BSc(Hons) course is designed to give students the knowledge and skills to help organisations identify their IT needs, and then design, produce, and operate computer-based information systems.

Teaching and Assessment

Students will be taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions. Assessment is varied and includes primarily coursework, quizzes, in-class tests, presentations, and demonstrations.


Placements

This course offers an optional one-year work placement after Year 2. The Placement team supports students in finding suitable placement opportunities and assists with preparing CVs and interview techniques.

Fees and Finance

  • Tuition Fees: The maximum fees for UK-based students on undergraduate courses in 2025/26 will be £9,535 per year for full-time students.
  • Additional costs: Optional field trips may be offered to destinations in the UK, which students would need to pay for if they choose to attend.
