Overview of the Mechanical Engineering (Top-up) BEng(Hons) Program

The Mechanical Engineering (Top-up) BEng(Hons) program is designed for individuals with prior knowledge of engineering, aiming to build on their existing skills. This one-year course allows students to continue their studies in the principles of dynamics and design, with the option to choose other key modules that best suit their interests.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for this course are considered on an individual basis and are normally one of the following:

• Higher National Diploma at Merit in Mechanical Engineering
• Foundation Degree in Engineering
• International qualifications are accepted, with high technical engineering content
• Other relevant skills or experience will be considered.
• If the first language is not English, students will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall and no element lower than 5.5.
