Paramedic Science BSc(Hons)

Entry Requirements
- A Level: ABB, including a relevant science subject (Biology, Human Biology, Applied Science, or Physical Education), excluding General Studies and AS levels.
- BTEC: DDM in a relevant subject.
- Other qualifications: Distinction in T Level in Health or Healthcare Science, or DDM in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science, Sport and Exercise Science, or Health and Social Care.
- GCSE: English Language or Literature and Maths at grade 4 or above, or grade C or above if awarded under the previous GCSE grading scheme.
- Additional requirements: Evidence of Health and/or Social Care experience, satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and occupational health clearances, and a self-declaration at the start of each year.

Placements
Practice education is an essential part of the course, with 450 hours of practice placement required for the paramedic skills modules in each year. Placements may include ambulance and non-ambulance settings, such as hospital and community environments.
Fees and Finance
- Tuition Fees: The maximum fees for UK-based students on undergraduate courses in 2025/26 will be £9,535 per year for full-time students.
- NHS Funding: Students studying this course may be eligible to receive a non-repayable grant of at least £5,000 each year.
