Overview

The Senior Leader Higher Apprenticeship (Level 7) is designed for aspiring or newly appointed leaders. This 19-month part-time course allows students to take a strategic look at their organisation and its processes, leadership, and how to engage colleagues.

Key Information

Entry Requirements

• Learners must hold English and Mathematics at level 2 or equivalent.
• The employer must confirm that the learner is in an appropriate role and working at a sufficient level to enable them to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and behaviours specified within the standard.
• If the first language is not English, students will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall and no element lower than 5.5.

Course Detail

Core Modules

• Responsible Leadership and People Engagement: This module supports students in demonstrating knowledge, skills, and behaviours associated with ethical and value-based leadership.
• Strategy and Innovation: This module supports students in demonstrating knowledge, skills, and behaviours associated with shaping organisational mission, values, and strategic direction.
• Operational Systems, Processes and Decision Making: This module helps students demonstrate knowledge, skills, and behaviours associated with effective operational management and decision making.
• End Point Assessment: After successfully completing the Gateway for the Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship, students will enter the End Point Assessment period, completing a strategic business proposal and a presentation that covers the relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours.

Fees and Finance

• As an apprentice, there is no tuition fee to pay for the higher or degree apprenticeship, as tuition fees are covered by the employer and the government through the Levy.
