Overview
The International Multimedia and Journalism MA is a practice-focused, theory-informed course that provides students with the skills, strategies, and theoretical understanding for a career in journalism and digital communications. Throughout the master's in journalism, students will have access to a range of specialist facilities available through Culture Lab, including:

- mobile studio equipment and editing suites are in development
Fees and Funding
Tuition fees for 2026 entry (per year):
- Home students: £11,400
- International students: £27,100 The university offers a range of scholarships, including a 25% discount on international fees for EU students.
Entry Requirements
- A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent
- Relevant professional experience in the media, broadcast journalism, or print journalism may be considered
- English Language requirements:
- IELTS: 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-skills)
- Pearson: 62 overall (with a minimum of 59 in all sub-skills)
- Duolingo English Test: 105 overall (with a minimum of 90 in all sub-skills)
- TOEFL: 90 overall (with a minimum of 19 in all sub-skills)
How to Apply
The course starts in September, and students can apply online. A deposit of £1,500 is required for international students who need a visa to study in the UK. The programme code for the MA International Multimedia Journalism is 4082F.
