Overview

The Endodontics MClinDent program at Newcastle University is designed to provide students with a systematic understanding of the evidence base and theoretical principles that underpin specialist endodontic practice and the provision of oral and dental care to patients. Students have access to a range of research laboratories and a clinical research facility, enabling them to engage in clinical training and research opportunities of the highest international standard.


Fees and Funding

Tuition fees for 2026 entry are:


  • Home students: £57,100 per year
  • International students: £57,700 per year The university offers a range of scholarships, including a 25% discount on international fees for EU students.

Entry Requirements

The program has the following entry requirements:


  • Primary Dental Degree (BDS, BChD, DDS)
  • At least three years of postgraduate clinical practice equivalent to Foundation Dental Training and Dental Core Training in the UK
  • Applicants should be currently in clinical practice
  • Experience of academic writing/critical appraisal/professional teaching or presentation
  • English Language requirements: IELTS, Pearson, Duolingo English Test, or TOEFL

How to Apply

Applications for the program should be made through the university's online application portal. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, 6th January 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an entrance interview via Zoom, which will include a short critical appraisal and situational judgement exercise. A personal statement, including details of clinical, academic, and research experience, should be submitted alongside the application. A deposit of £3,500 is required, which is non-refundable.
