The Driving Performance with AI and Analytics micro-credential is designed for business innovators and leaders, as well as data engineers moving to a management role. This program provides a roadmap to successfully exploit analytics and big data to bridge the gap between analytical concepts and the value that it can create.

Admission Requirements
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years professional or managerial work experience
- Language Requirements: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL IBT 90 for non-native English speakers
- CV: Up-to-date CV required
- Degree: Graduates with a degree (or equivalent) with a strong academic record in any discipline from a recognised third-level institution
- Applicants without a Degree: Welcome to apply provided they can show a proven managerial track record
Course Fees
- Subsidised Course Fee: 400 euro for eligible candidates applying for the micro-credential in academic year 2024/25
- HCI Fees Subsidy: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria may qualify for a 80% fee subsidy, subject to the availability of subsidised places
Course Content
- Data & Analytics Strategy: Assess the data-driven maturity of an organisation and develop a data & analytics value map with opportunities for an organisation
- Business Analytics: Understand analytical techniques, such as descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
- Big Data Technology: Understand the technology needed to acquire and analyse data
- Artificial Intelligence: Combine predictive analytics (machine learning), prescriptive analytics, and big data technology to develop systems that can mimic human behaviour and create business value
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:
- Critically analyse and develop data & analytics strategies that may best support their organisation
- Develop a data-driven innovation for their organisation
- Select suitable analytical techniques and technologies for specific business cases
- Communicate better with data scientists and data engineers in their organisation
- Evaluate and prioritise data-driven and AI innovations
Delivery and Assessment
- Delivery: Fully online in 2.5-hour sessions, delivered twice a week in the evenings
- Assessment: Individual detailed pitch deck and recorded presentation (80%), active participation in peer-feedback process (20%)
