Program Overview
The Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Safety in Construction is a one-year course designed to familiarize civil engineers and other construction professionals with Health and Safety legislation and practice. The course provides knowledge necessary to perform various supervisory and advisory health and safety roles.

Admission Requirements
- An Honours degree in Engineering or related discipline is required.
- Applications are assessed based on academic qualifications, together with the number of years of relevant experience.
- A candidate may be interviewed to establish their suitability for the course.
- English Language Requirements: All applicants are required to provide official evidence of proficiency in the English language, meeting Band B (Standard Entry) English language requirements.
Course Structure
- Lectures are normally held on Friday evening 7pm - 10pm and Saturday 9.30am-12.30pm each week throughout two semesters (September to April).
- In addition to attending lectures, participants are required to submit coursework as part of the students’ assessment.
