Overview

The Masterclass in Diversity and Unconscious Bias is designed to help participants understand the impact of unconscious bias on decision-making and create a more inclusive work environment. The program is offered in two formats: a taster session and a masterclass.


Taster Session

  • The taster session is a 1-hour online workshop that introduces participants to the topic of diversity and unconscious bias.
  • Topics covered include:
    • Unconscious bias, diversity, and inclusion
    • Bias in business and its impact on decision-making
  • Upon completion of the taster session, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Masterclass

  • The masterclass is a 3-hour online workshop that provides a comprehensive understanding of unconscious bias, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Topics covered include:
    • Evidence for bias and its impact on organizations
    • Awareness and tools for developing awareness of bias in thinking and decision-making
    • Introduction to tools to help mitigate the harmful impacts of bias and create a more diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Upon completion of the masterclass, participants receive a Certificate of Completion.

The masterclass is designed for everyone who wants to learn about unconscious bias, particularly those working in private and public sectors, as well as voluntary and community organizations.

  • Jess Hayden, an organizational psychologist with expertise in emotional intelligence, decision-making, and innovation research.
  • Lucy McKenna, a learning designer, facilitator, and coach with experience in designing impactful programs for innovation and change.

  • The taster session and masterclass are offered as interactive online live webinars.
  • Participants are expected to have a computer with microphone and video capability and to participate in these interactive sessions.
