The Lir Academy - Screen Acting Intensive - Summer School

Overview

This course, led by filmmaker David J. Evans, will workshop the nuances of working on screen and in front of a camera. Through workshops and discussions, the group will explore the difference between a film script and a play script, how to prepare for a film audition, self-taping, casting and type-casting, and learn about life on set.

The course fee is €480.

Program Details

This course is suitable for novice and aspiring actors who would like to learn more about the practicalities of a film set and acting for screen. No experience is required, and the course is open to individuals aged 18 and above. Upon completion of the course, participants will have a better understanding of how working for screen is different from stage, how to be a better colleague on set, and how to interpret a film script to give their best performance.
