The online delivery of this program allows for flexible yet structured education, with no requirement to attend the Trinity Campus. Course Content
The program offers two entry routes: Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma. Both routes may lead to an M.Sc. The P.Grad.Cert. consists of three online modules completed over one academic year:
- Imaging for Advanced Radiotherapy Practice
- Delineation for Radiotherapy Planning
- Specialist Radiation Therapy Techniques
On successful completion of the P.Grad.Cert., students may choose to register to complete three additional modules towards the award of a P.Grad.Dip. The P.Grad.Dip. consists of six online modules completed over one academic year:
- Imaging for Advanced Radiotherapy Practice
- Delineation for Radiotherapy Planning
- Specialist Radiation Therapy Techniques
- Research Methods
- Treatment Planning for Modulated Techniques
- Proton Therapy Planning and Delivery
Course Structure
The P.Grad.Cert. is worth 30 ECTS, and the P.Grad.Dip. is worth 60 ECTS. The program uses a range of authentic continuous assessments, including written and practical assignments, online activities, projects, and case studies.
Admission Requirements
Applications will be accepted from those who:
- Hold an honours primary degree in Radiation Therapy, Medical Physics, Medicine, or a related discipline
- Have evidence of relevant professional experience
- Have access to radiation therapy planning software for the duration of the course
- Have a fluent command of the English language
