Program Overview
Anthropology, B.S.
The Anthropology, B.S. program at the University of Tulsa is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of human cultures, social groups, and biological diversity. The program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to analyze and interpret anthropological theories, human cultures, and social groups.
Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the undergraduate program in anthropology will demonstrate or perform:
- Anthropological comprehension of theories, human cultures, and social groups;
- Anthropological analysis and interpretation of theories, human cultures, and social groups;
- Anthropological understanding and implementation of ethical principles; and
- Anthropological understanding and implementation of research capabilities.

Anthropology majors take ANSO 4973 to fulfill their Tulsa Curriculum senior project requirement.
Required Minor
At least 12 credit hours in a related field with at least 6 hours at the 3000 level or higher. Some minors require more than 12 hours.
