Program Features
- Study abroad experience during the fourth year
- First semester abroad: study engineering, science, language, culture, and electives in the target language at a partner university
- Second semester abroad: complete an internship with an engineering, science, or technology firm or laboratory in the target language and country

Application Requirements
Students apply to the International Engineering/Science and Language program as part of their application to the university or soon after their arrival on campus.
Continuing Eligibility Requirements
- Students must meet with their faculty mentors for each degree program every semester
- Students are subject to the minimum grade and other academic requirements of both degree programs
- Students must take the Language Placement exam as early as possible and meet with the program director each semester

- Students receive credit toward university requirements for both the B.A. and B.S. degrees
- During the spring semester abroad, students enroll in a one-credit hour internship and retain full-time status
Degrees Awarded
Upon completion of the program requirements, students will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree associated with their engineering or science major and the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Neither the B.S. nor the B.A. will be awarded until the student has completed the requirements for both degrees under the International Engineering/Science and Language program.
