  • FIN 7023 Investment Analysis (3 Credits): Theory and tools of analysis required in managing financial assets. Employing modern decision and probability theory, statistical techniques, and the computer, the course investigates the entire process of investing in financial assets, from the analysis of individual securities to the final combination of securities into portfolios.
  • FIN 7033 Futures and Options (3 Credits): Introduces the use and pricing of derivative assets. Covers mathematical concepts underlying derivative asset analysis, the institutional structure of derivative markets and contracts, elementary pricing relations, the binomial and Black-Scholes options pricing models. Futures, options, bond and foreign currency options, implied binomial trees, and alternative option pricing models are explored.
