Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the online AGACNP certificate program, applicants must:


  • Have an active, unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license from all states in which this licensure is held.
  • Hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program.
  • Provide a professional resume or CV outlining academic, professional, and service history.
  • Submit a two-page personal statement explaining how the AGACNP certificate will help them reach their career goals.
  • Have documentation of credentialing through ANCC or AACN.
  • Have current BLS and ALCS certification.
  • Complete a 10-panel drug testing and criminal background check.
  • Have a Typhon subscription to upload required documentation.
  • Have current professional liability and health insurance.
  • Have completed courses in Advanced Physical Assessment, Advanced Pathophysiology, and Advanced Pharmacology.
