Introduction to the FNP, DNP Program

The University of Tulsa offers an online Family Nurse Practitioner, Doctor of Nursing Practice (FNP, DNP) program designed for active RNs with a BSN who are ready to pursue licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) or take on transformative roles as educators and administrators.


Program Overview

The FNP, DNP program provides a flexible learning experience for working nurses with 100% online coursework and practicum hours with a local preceptor of their choosing. Graduates will have the interdisciplinary skills and evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages.


Curriculum and Courses

The online FNP, DNP program consists of 72 credit hours, 1,000 practicum hours in a clinical setting, and a final research project. The program is designed to be completed in three years.
