Program Overview


Instructional Design and Development (MS) Program Overview

The Master of Science in Instructional Design and Development is a graduate program that focuses on the latest theories and principles of instructional design and digital learning. This program aims to equip students with the skills to create engaging, inclusive, and research-based instructional materials for diverse audiences, driving engagement and performance.


Admission Criteria

To be considered for admission into the MS in Instructional Design program, applicants must submit the following materials:


  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, sent directly from the institution; electronic transcripts are preferred
  • A personal statement regarding the motivation and goals that have prompted the application to the Instructional Design program Admission criteria include:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum 2.8 undergraduate GPA

Curriculum

The Instructional Design program curriculum consists of 24 hours of core instructional design and development courses and electives, plus a 6-hour concentration area for a total of 30 semester hours.

    • Agile Instructional Design for Workplace Development............ 3cr. If students would prefer not to take a concentration, they can complete a generalized option by choosing one course from each concentration area to fulfill their 30 semester hour degree requirement.
