Coaching Education Certificate
The Coaching Education Certificate is a 18-credit program that consists of 6 courses. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to become successful and impactful coaches.

Curriculum
The Coaching Education Certificate consists of the following courses:
- CEAD 610: Sport Coaching Ethics and Philosophy (3 credits)
- CEAD 620: Sport Leadership and Teambuilding (3 credits)
- CEAD 630: Sport Pedagogy and Coaching Analysis (3 credits)
- CEAD 625: The Science of Performance (3 credits)
- SPMG 521: Introduction to Sport Administration (3 credits)
- SPMG 598: Sport Administration- Law (3 credits)
Admission
Applicants to the Graduate Certificate in Coaching Education must hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5. To be considered for admission, students must submit:

- Personal essay
- Letters of recommendation
Tuition
The total program tuition is $12,996, with a per credit hour cost of $722. The amounts listed are for the academic year and include classes from Summer 2025 through Spring 2025. Tuition cost is per credit hour unless otherwise stated.
State Authorization
Xavier University is authorized to offer fully-online programs in most states. Students must reside and complete practicum hours in approved states only.
