Full-Time Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program

The Full-Time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Xavier University is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and network to excel in today's dynamic business landscape. This in-person, full-time program offers a rigorous graduate school experience that strengthens communication, hones strategic instincts, and expands industry expertise.


Overview

The program allows students to earn their Master of Business Administration in as little as one year. It is tailored to provide students with a broad range of instruction, advancing their knowledge and building a diverse skill set that supports their career readiness.


Admission

Admission to Xavier's full-time MBA program is rolling, allowing students to begin their graduate studies throughout the academic year. While there is no formal application deadline, recommended dates for application submission are:


  • Fall: August 1
  • Spring: December 1 For international students, all completed applications and supplementary materials must be received by January 1.

Application Materials

To be considered for admission into the MBA program, students must submit the following materials:


  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, sent directly from the institution; electronic transcripts are preferred
  • A current résumé documenting work experience
  • Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources; recommender names/emails can be uploaded to the application, allowing the recommendation form to be sent to them by email
  • A personal statement regarding the motivation and goals that have prompted the application to the full-time MBA program
  • A personal interview (if requested) by the admissions committee

Foundation Skills

Before starting the MBA journey, students may need to build foundational knowledge by completing:


  • ACCT 500 - Foundations of Financial Accounting (3 credits)
  • BAIS 500 - Business Statistics (3 credits) These may be waived by exam or prior undergraduate coursework.

Core Coursework

Core MBA courses develop strategic and analytical business decision-making skills. Courses include:


  • ACCT 550 - Managerial Accounting (3 credits)
  • BAIS 550 - Business Information Systems (3 credits)
  • BAIS 551 - Operational Analysis (3 credits)
  • BLAW 550 - Business Law and Ethics (3 credits)

FINC 550 - Fundamentals of Finance
