Program Overview

The Economics program at North Seattle College offers an Associate in Business - Direct Transfer Agreement (BUCBUAA) degree with a concentration in Economics. This pathway meets the requirements for the Associate in Business - DTA (AB-DTA) degree and allows students to transfer at the junior level into an Economics program at a four-year college or university.


Program Details

  • The program consists of 90 units and can be completed in six quarters on a full-time schedule.
  • The curriculum includes courses in economics, business, mathematics, and communication, as well as electives in areas such as accounting, finance, and international business.
  • Students learn a unique way of thinking about problems, decisions, and outcomes through the lens of economics, including topics such as markets and prices, consumer behavior, employment, inflation, international trade, and government policy.
  • The program develops skills in data analysis, critical thinking, quantitative and qualitative research, verbal communication, group communication and collaboration, and leadership and facilitation.
