Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is a four-year degree that offers students the opportunity to choose from three engineering majors: civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in engineering, including a common foundational first year, followed by a choice of major in the second year.

What You Will Study
The course consists of a common foundational first year, followed by a choice of major in the second year. Students will complete a range of core subjects, including engineering design challenges, engineering mechanics, and mathematics for engineers. In addition, students will choose from a range of restricted electives, depending on their chosen major.
Majors
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) offers three majors:
- Civil Engineering: This major will equip students with the skills and knowledge to design and construct safe and sustainable infrastructure, including water supply systems, tunnels, bridges, and transport systems.
- Electrical Engineering: This major will provide students with a comprehensive education in electrical engineering, including the design and development of electrical systems, appliances, and equipment.
- Mechanical Engineering: This major will equip students with the skills and knowledge to design, develop, and manufacture mechanical systems, including machines, engines, and mechanical devices.
Costs
The indicative fees for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) are:
- International on campus: Fee paying overseas - $38,000.00 per annum (full-time), $19,000.00 per annum (part-time)

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), students must meet the following requirements:
- A completed Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) with at least the minimum required ATAR (including adjustment factors)
- OR
- Successful completion of two university-level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a credit Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies
- OR
- Successful completion of a Certificate IV or Diploma in related fields, including engineering, construction, science, or technology (or equivalent qualification at AQF Level 4 or 5), and completion of Maths Skills 3 - Advanced B from Charles Sturt Study Link
- OR
- A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian university or an accredited provider, demonstrating a credit Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies
- OR
- Completion of Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation, including the elective MTH174 Mathematics and Statistics at Charles Sturt University, and completion of Maths Skills 3 - Advanced B from Charles Sturt Study Link
