Program Overview

The Educational Leadership (MEd) program focuses on developing candidates' knowledge, skills, and professional behavior in the core curricular areas of educational leadership. These areas include school finance, law, human resources, technology, data-driven decision-making, diversity, organizational theory, supervision, and strategic planning.


Program Learning Outcomes

The program is designed to achieve the following learning outcomes:


  • SLO 1 Knowledge: Candidates will identify and describe the core curricular areas of educational leadership.
  • SLO 2 Skills: Candidates will apply competencies and skills of instructional leadership, operational leadership, and school leadership to promote the success of all students.
  • SLO 3 Professional Behavior: Candidates will apply ethical behavior, professional conduct, and communication.
  • SLO 4 Professional Behavior: Candidates will promote the success of all students by understanding the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural issues.
