The Ethics Minor is designed to complement any major, offering students the opportunity to explore values and apply theories of ethics to decision-making in various fields of practice. This minor provides flexibility, allowing students to choose courses relevant to their interests and career plans.

Program Structure

To complete the Ethics Minor, students must follow a structured course sequence:

• Choose a foundational ethics course, either PHIL 2300 or PHIL 3300.
  • This foundational course serves as the starting point for the minor.
• Select 2 additional courses from a list of more than 10 core ethics courses.
  • These core courses delve deeper into ethical theories and practices.
• Choose 2 ethics electives offered by departments across the university.
  • These electives allow students to tailor their minor to their major and interests.
