Program Overview

The certificate in Health Systems and Design is housed in the Center for Health Systems and Design in the School of Architecture at Texas A&M University. The mission of the Center is to improve design by promoting teaching, research, and outreach in an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the impact of design on health.

Program Details

• The certificate provides students in any graduate degree program at Texas A&M University an opportunity to develop a body of knowledge in health design.
• This specialized training will prepare them for careers in design, engineering, operations, or management with the capability of solving complex challenges in the way the built environment influences health.
• The certificate assumes health systems and design is a cross-disciplinary field, and the program is organized to ensure that students gain a sense of mutual respect for others in other fields, and an appropriate awareness, understanding, and ability within a specific body of knowledge.
