Master of Science in International Security Online

The Master of Science in International Security Online (MSISEC Online) program at Georgia Tech is designed to familiarize students with global international security challenges, the influences that drive formulating and implementing security policy, and how to apply research skills to address international affairs problems.

Admissions

Admission Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Online Application: Admission is a competitive process, and the admissions committee carefully reviews all facets of the application.
• International Students: For international graduate applicants, please review the international student’s tab for requirements.

• Applications are submitted electronically and include a nonrefundable application fee.

Cost & Aid

Tuition and Fees

• Tuition and mandatory student fees are subject to change without notice.
• Tuition and fees are assessed only for the terms in which a student is enrolled in courses.

Payments and Refunds

• All payments of tuition and fees are handled by the Bursar’s office.
• Refunds and overpayments are electronically disbursed to the student’s checking or savings account.

Financial Assistance

• Education Loans: U.S. citizens and permanent residents may be eligible for education loans.
• Employer Tuition Reimbursement: Contact your employer’s human resources department for available tuition assistance programs and eligibility.
• The Post-9/11 GI Bill: Qualified U.S. veterans may be eligible to receive financial support for tuition, mandatory fees, books, and housing.

Curriculum

The program uses multiple digital platforms and world-class instructors, allowing students to tailor their degree to their needs and interests while tackling real-world problems.

Technology Requirements

• All students should own a computer with the following minimum requirements:
  • Form Factor: Notebook or desktop computer
  • Processor: 64-bit multi-core Intel or AMD processor
  • Memory: 16 GB or more
  • Operating System: The newest version of Windows or MacOS
  • Browser: The newest version of Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome
  • Primary Hard Drive: 256 GB minimum
  • Backup Device or Service: Having a quality backup of important files is vital
  • Free GitHub Repositories: Git is an industry-standard way for collaborative coding and version control
  • Networking: Wired connection via Ethernet NIC or a Dual-Band Wireless 802.11 ac-enabled computer
  • Accessories: A laptop or desktop with a webcam and microphone
