Art and Visual Culture (BA) - Art Management
The Bachelor of Arts in Art and Visual Culture - Art Management is a program designed to equip students with the leadership and management skills necessary to thrive in the dynamic arts realm. This undergraduate program is offered at the Boone campus only.

Program Description
The program prepares future arts administrators with business acumen, marketing expertise, and management skills to tackle the art world's greatest challenges. Students will gain practical experience on campus at the Smith Gallery, where they will play a vital role in preparing exhibitions.
Curriculum
The curriculum includes courses in:
- Arts and Cultural Engagement
- Art Criticism and Theory
- Digital Imaging
- Arts and Cultural Leadership A minor in Non-Profit Organizations is required.
General Education
The General Education Program at Appalachian State University provides a foundational skill set that will prepare students for any career, with courses in history, natural and social sciences, and humanities.
Accelerated Master's
Students can begin their graduate studies as undergraduates and earn their master's degree in as little as one year.
